Surgical site infection still contributes significantly to morbidity of surgery patients in Uganda
There appears to be no significant difference in the incidence and outcomes of surgical site infection following the COVID pandemic.
The same measures previously used to prevent SSI could still be effective in reducing the burden of SSI even following the pandemic if followed appropriately.
