I’m Abdelhamid Sherif, born in Egypt. I’m Thoracic surgeon with 19 years of experience. My Skills are variable starting from how to Literate with information technology and HIM, including fluency with industry-standard
medical database software, command knowledge of a diverse range of surgical procedures appropriate to emergency response, trauma surgery, and thoracic surgery & cardiac surgery and to analyse, synthesize the results of various imaging scans to make decisions about patient care and surgical planning. My skills can go through Communicating clearly and effectively to residents and medical students under a variety of high-pressure situations to maintain quality patient care in a teaching environment. Also include excellent problem sensitivity and perceptive skills developed over nearly two decades in surgical environments. I work senior registrar of Thoracic Surgery in KFAFH (King Fahad Armed Forces Hospital, Jeddah, Saudi Arabia) and Lecturer of Cardiothoracic surgery, Benha University, Egypt. My job duties include Leading and assistance in a variety of surgical procedures, following up my post-operative patients in surgical floor, management of different acute conditions in A&E department , helping junior doctors in preparation for surgical procedures , scientific research, to communicate with patients and other medical professionals to create a treatment plan that includes preoperative preparations, surgical protocols, and postoperative care and include also preparing reports and other forms of documentation to keep patient charts updated around the clock during pre- and post-surgical hospital stays. My whole education and training was in Egypt, started by undergraduate years from 1998-2004 in Benha University Hospital then I spent my internship training from 2005 -2006 , later on I had my residency program as general surgeon from 2006-2009 then I started my fellowship in Cardiothoracic surgery from 2009-2016 , I obtained M.D degree in Cardiothoracic Surgery in 2016 , All my work was in Benha University hospital , also I taught undergraduate students in Benha faculty of medicine between 2012-2016 . When I speak about my hobbies and interests, I like to volunteer my time and practical services in a variety of clinical situations during my off time. Also, I Love watching international football matches, daily walking and work out. My goals are to always have a role in helping my patient to improve, to cure & have better lifestyles, to progress in my scientific research, promote my skills continuously via participating in international conferences and advanced thoracic surgical courses. Continued medical education is a corner stone in my career
