Shaila Shagor

Is a reputed surgeon in the country with more than 12 years of experience in the field of specialized laparoscopic surgery. She was born in 29th August, 1985. She started her educational life at Saidpur Cantonment Public School and College, Rajshahi in 2000. She completed her Higher secondary school certificate from Saidpur Cantonment Public School and College, Rajshahi successfully in 1978. She completed MBBS successfully in 2011 from Shahabuddin Medical College and Hospital, Dhaka. After that, she obtained Diabetology (CCD) in Bangladesh Institute of Research and Rehabilitation for Diabetes, Endocrine and Metabolic Disorders (BIRDEM), Dhaka in 2014.

Also completed her MS in General Surgery from Bangladesh Institute of Research and Rehabilitation for Diabetes, Endocrine and Metabolic Disorders (BIRDEM) in 2022. She is professionally 6 (six) months experience in Surgery in Bangladesh Specialized Hospital Limited (BSHL). She has 3 years wide experience in Surgery in Bangladesh Institution of Health Sciences General Hospital (BIHS HOSPITAL). She has received certification on “Emergency Management of Severe Burns” from Australian and New Zealand Burn Association in Jun-2019. She also has 6(Six) months experience casualty work in Dhaka medical college casualty block 1 and 6 (Six) months Certificate Course on Diabetology (CCD); From, BIRDEM in 2014.

She has a good Experience in Ultrasonography Proficiency and also in ICU work at BIRDEM ICU. She received certification on “Online Comprehensive Training Course on COVID-18 for Doctors” in May-2020. She has 3 international publications which reflects her contributions to the field of surgery.

Has participated in various specialized training courses abroad, including Fellowship Training on Surgery in India. Her contributions to the field are reflected in her 10 article publications in various national and international journals.
