Mr Apostolides graduated from the University of Crete in 2014 and, after working as a junior doctor in Cardiothoracic surgery for one year, in one of the busiest hospitals in Athens, Greece, he moved to the UK, aiming to be trained as an Orthopaedic surgeon. He rotated as a junior surgical trainee around multiple surgical specialties, including General surgery, Urology and Orthopaedics, and in 2019, he managed to secure an Orthopaedic training position at the Kent, Sussex and Surrey Deanery.
He currently works at a lower limb arthroplasty firm at the East Kent Hospitals University Foundation Trust, and his special interests include Trauma and Lower Limb arthroplasty. He is passionate about research on new developments in orthopaedic surgery, including the use of technology and regenerative medicine. He is also involved in teaching of more junior colleagues on a regular basis.
