Pervez Ahsan

Is a competent of the pioneer replacement orthopedic surgeons of THR, TKR and Knee Arthroscopy from Bangladesh, born in 13^th August 1960. He started his educational life at BAF Shaheen College, Dhaka. He completed his secondary school certificate and Higher secondary school certificate from Mirzapur Cadet College successfully. He completed MBBS successfully in 1986 from Chittagong Medical College and Hospital.

After that, he has pursued his career in the field of Orthopedics surgery and completed his Diploma in Orthopedics 2001 and Masters in Orthopedics surgery from reputed institute. National Institute of Traumatology and Orthopedics Rehabilitation (NITOR) under University of Dhaka in 2007. Throughout the life, He has devoted his time and efforts to serve the orthopedics and trauma patients from periphery to tertiary level. He has an impressive professional background. Initially, he joined health services of Bangladesh government in 1989 and serve their for 21 years. After that, he joined as an Assistant Professor of Orthopedics at Ibn Sina Medical College and Hospital in 1^st October, 2009. Currently, he is working as a Professor and Head of the Department of Orthopedics of same institute which is one of the highest tertiary and modernized private medical college hospital in Bangladesh. He has long experience in teaching and always updated him scientifically, modern treatment related to orthopedics sector. He is highly experienced in knee arthroscopic and arthroplasty surgery of hip and knee. In addition, he has participated in various specialized training on abroad which includes, Training in Hand Surgery, Training in Knee Arthroscopic Surgery, AO Basic and Advance course, Workshop on Operative and Non-operative fracture treatment etc.

Dr. Ahsan, He is a professional, enthusiastic, honest and empathetic surgeon. He focuses on minimally invasive muscle and tendon-sparing techniques, including lateral approach hip replacement and minimally invasive total knee replacement that allow patients to go home sooner and return to their normal activities earlier. He has 10 national and international publications which reflects his contributions to the field of orthopedics.
