Georgios Vergos

Medical doctor specializing in surgery, with a strong academic background and extensive clinical experience. He earned his M.Sc. in Endocrine Surgery from Aristotle University of Thessaloniki with top honors, following his medical degree from the same institution. He has worked as a surgical resident in various hospitals, including the Kantonsspital Olten in Switzerland and the General Hospital of Kavala in Greece, gaining experience in visceral, vascular, plastic, thoracic, and emergency surgery. Additionally, he has contributed to multiple clinical research projects and case studies. Dr. Vergos has actively participated in numerous medical conferences, workshops, and training programs, further developing his expertise in laparoscopic and gastrointestinal surgery. His main interests focus on upper gastrointestinal oncologic surgery (pancreas, esophagus) as well as bariatric surgery. As of January 2025, Dr. Vergos is a surgical resident at the University Visceral Surgery Department of Clarunis, University of Basel, continuing his specialization in the field.
