Payas Shah

Is a third-year psychiatry resident (PGY-3) completing her psychiatry residency at Tower Health Reading Hospital.  She hopes to attend child and adolescent fellowship in the upcoming application cycle for further training. Her current research focuses on education about acute stress disorder utilizing screening tools in the hopes of identifying the disorder prior to progression to post-traumatic stress disorder. She has been able to publish her research in a book chapter and journal article. Currently, she resides in Reading, Pennsylvania, though her hometown is Livonia, Michigan where she lives with her parents and her grandfather. She is an only child and she grew up with my grandfather. Her grandfather is her best friend. Outside of residency and studying, she enjoys long walks on the beach and travelling to different countries.
