Puja Sabherwal is a master’s research resident in the field of Pediatric Dentistry at the prestigious University College of Medical Sciences, who graduated from Maulana Azad Institute of Dental Sciences, University of Delhi, India. She is an avid academic and research scholar in pursuit of excellence and upholds a multi-faceted group of interests. She was awarded the FAMDENT Excellence Award as Highly Commended Post-graduate student, 2021, Pierre Fauchard International Student of the year, 2017; Best Female Dental Graduate, Indian Dental Association; International College of Dentists Award for graduate-level Oral Surgery and Orthodontics, 2016 and holds a position in the Roll of Honor as University Scholar. She also holds a Diploma in Hypnotherapy from the HMI Institute, California, and is a professional member of the American Hypnosis Association in good standing. Her interests in Hypnotherapy include Hypnodontics, Pain control, pre, and post-surgical hypnosis, and habit management. Her key research interest has been to upgrade and effectively perform anxiolysis to ensure a pain-free and holistic pediatric dental experience for her patients. She aims to further combine pharmacological modalities such as sedation with hypnotherapy, Jacobson’s technique to form the perfect blend of Hypno-sedation as a tool for anxiety and pain control. She is also a trained classical dancer with a graduate diploma in Bharatnatyam, an Indian Classical Dance tradition from the Prayag Sangeet Samiti, Allahabad.
