Dr Furák, is the Head of the Thoracic Division of the Department of Surgery at the University of Szeged, Hungary. He is a Fellow of European Board of Thoracic Surgery. He pays a special attention for the spontaneous ventilation thoracic surgery: both non intubated (NITS) and intubated (SVI) methods. Dr Furák completed his postgraduate education in the Toronto General Hospital, in the Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles, in the Pulmonary Hospital in Shanghai, and at Yale University in New Haven.
Research interest: minimally invasive thoracic surgery, spontaneous ventilation in thoracic surgery, immune effects of thoracic procedures, mediastinal surgery.
