Dr. Badr M I ABDULRAUF MD, FRCSC
Graduated from Faculty of Medicine, King Abdul-Aziz university Jeddah, Saudi
Arabia. Joined University of Manitoba Canada in 1994 as Research fellow followed by
residency training in the specialty of Plastic surgery and a clinical fellowship in
aesthetic surgery. A subspecialty fellowship in Pediatric plastic surgery at the Sick children’s hospital,
university of Toronto. Established the section for Plastic and Reconstructive surgery at KFSHRC Jeddah
with tertiary care services including post oncologic reconstructions, cleft lip and palate, congenital hand anomalies, ear reconstruction and brachial plexus surgery. Has actively served at the Scientific committee for the Saudi Board of Plastic surgery by the Saudi commission for Health specialties, and chaired the exams committee. Director of the residency program for Plastic surgery at KFSHRC J and actively involved in teaching activities for the western region program. Earlier research interests and publications included “Tissue and flaps viability studies”. Current publications and interests include: Anatomic studies in relation to plastic surgery, cleft lip and nose surgery, and innovative techniques in facial reconstruction. In the year 2020, described the “Nasal lift technique” in cleft lip surgery that has been widely published and recognized internationally.
