Dr. Rahul Saxena is an Additional Professor of Pediatric Surgery at the All India Institute of
Medical Sciences (AIIMS), Jodhpur. He is a trained Neonatal and Pediatric Minimal Access
Surgeon and Pediatric Urologist, with special expertise in laparoscopic and robotic surgery.
His clinical interests include laparoscopic pyeloplasty, ureteric reimplantation, choledochal
cyst excision, minimally invasive neonatal surgery, and advanced pediatric urology. He has
around 74 publications in indexed journals and 5 book chapters.
Dr. Saxena is actively involved in academic teaching, surgical training, and research, with
numerous national and international publications and regular presentations at major scientific
conferences. He has been a consistent contributor to international platforms including
ESPES, EUPSA, and other global pediatric surgical forums. His work focuses on improving
surgical outcomes in children through innovation, minimally invasive techniques, and
structured training programs.
He is committed to capacity building, skills development, and academic leadership in
pediatric surgery, with a strong emphasis on education, technology-driven care, and
multidisciplinary collaboration.
