K Vivekananda Subramania Nathan

I Prof. Dr. K. Vivekananda Subramania Nathan am a Senior Professor of General Surgery at SRM Medical college and hospital, Chennai. I  finished my MBBS with Honours from Madurai Medical College and MS General Surgery from Government Stanley Medical College, Chennai. With over 25 years of undergraduate and postgraduate teaching experience, I am approved PG faculty of The Tamil Nadu Dr. MGR Medical University, Chennai and a recipient of the Best Teacher Award (2013). I was Chairman for ASI (Association of Surgeons of India) Chennai city branch  (2020-2024 ). I am now current Joint Secretary for Tamil Nadu ASI (2025-2026). My academic interests include open and Minimal Access Hernia surgery and Endocrine surgery, particularly Thyroid and Breast, with over 40 indexed publications and extensive postgraduate mentorship.
