Dr Battiato has a well-recognized expertise in and performed all major orthopedic surgery and complex traumatology. (more than 3000 complex operation concerning difficult articular fracture including pelvis and acetabulum and complex reconstructive prosthetic surgery) The centers he leads are referral centers for complex traumatology with patients referred to him from all over Italy. He was asked performing major complex procedures as a Consultant at the community hospitals in Treviso, Monfalcone, Bassano del Grappa, Latisana, Gorizia, Palmanova.
Author and coauthor of 30 scientific articles on Indexed Journals and lecturer in over 100 national and international conferences on Orthopedics and Traumatology
In the last 10 years Dr Battiato has devoloped innovative devices as the Batbridge (a mini invasive cerclage for fracturated bones) and DIF (Dynamic Internal Fixator) that are well described in many international articles.
In his operating activity he has done more then 3000 major procedures as first surgeon of complex trauma and elective operations, ranging from acetabular fracture to articular replacement revision surgery
