Aleksei Makarov

I have been working as an endoscopist at the Sklifosovsky Research Institute since 2012. I perform all types of endoscopic diagnostic and therapeutic interventions at a high level.
My PhD dissertation was written on the diagnosis and treatment of respiratory tract burns. Currently, my main focus is the endoscopic diagnosis and treatment of chemical burns of the esophagus. We are currently actively integrating endosonography into the diagnostic algorithm for chemical burns of the esophagus, which helps us assess the risk of developing esophageal stenosis and choose the optimal treatment.
