Is a long-time pediatric nurse with a special interest in trauma, emergency medicine and injury prevention. She is a graduate of the University of Iowa with a bachelor’s degree in nursing and receive her master’s degree in business administration from California State University,
Sacramento. Missy is heavily involved in legislative activities and serves as the vice chair of the American Trauma Society Legislative Committee. She also serves on the Colorado Child Fatality Prevention System State Review Board and on the Eastern Association for Surgery of Trauma Injury Control and Violence Prevention Committee. Her research interests involve injury prevention, rural trauma care, and improving prehospital care of injured children. Missy currently works as the Pediatric Trauma Program Manager at Denver Health.
