Elroy Patrick Weledji

Dr Elroy Patrick Weledji, BSc (Hons)Physiology, MSc Lond (Neurological Science), MBBChBAO (Ireland), FRCS (Edinburgh) is Professor of Surgery in the Faculty of Health Sciences, University of Buea, Cameroon. He is both a scientist and gastrointestinal surgeon with interest in surgical oncology, coloproctology and surgical sepsis. He is a member of the International association of surgeons, gastroenterologists and oncologists (IASGO), British association of surgical oncology (BASO), first non-European member of the European society of coloproctology (ESCP) and a member of the international Society of University Colon and Rectal surgeons (ISURCS). He was the pioneer Editor-in-Chief of the African Journal of Integrated Health (AJIH), the official journal of the faculty of Health Sciences of University of Buea, Cameroon. He has written over 300 papers including ‘the challenge of intra-abdominal sepsis’, ‘benefits and risks of splenectomy’, ‘the electrophysiological basis of faecal incontinence’, ‘Centralization of liver cancer surgery’  and ‘the Weledji’s  clinicopathological classification of perianal Paget’s disease’.
