Leparskaya Natalia Leontinovna was born in 1973. In 1997 she graduated from the medical faculty of the Sechenov First Moscow State Medical University of the Ministry of Health of the Russian Federation (Sechenov University). From 1997 to 1999, she studied in a clinical residency in ophthalmology at the Helmholtz Research Institute of Eye Diseases. Since 1999, she has been a researcher at the Department of Traumatology, Reconstructive Surgery. In 2001, for a month, she completed an internship at the Moorfields Eye Hospital in London with Prof. J. Gregor. In 2005, she defended her PhD thesis under the supervision of Professor R.A. Gundorova “The role of proliferative vitreoretinopathy in the pathogenesis, clinic and treatment of traumatic retinal detachment”. Since 2015, she has been a doctor of the highest category, a leading vitreoretinal surgeon of the Department of Traumatology, conducts scientific work.
