Ponomareva Maria Nikolaevna, born in 1961, higher education. In 1987 she graduated from the Tyumen State Medical Institute, in 1993 – clinical residency at the Ural Institute for Advanced Medical Studies in the specialty “Eye Diseases”. The scientific degree of the candidate of medical sciences was awarded in 2004, the scientific degree of the doctor of medical sciences was awarded in 2010. She has been combining the work in practical health service with the work at a university since 2005. The topic of the research project of M.N. Ponomareva – “Development of diagnostic complexes and systems of corrective measures for chronic non-infectious diseases of the eye and adnexa.”
Maria Nikolaevna is the author and co-author of more than 200 scientific works (on the topic of her project), including 6 monographs (one in Russian and English), 6 textbooks recommended by the coordination council for the field of education “Health and Medical Sciences” (two of which in Russian and English), more than 30 patents, Hirsch index – 12.
With the debut of a new coronavirus infection pandemic in 2020, an additional topic of the prospective research project – “Diagnosis of ophthalmological manifestations in patients who have undergone COVID-19 associated pneumonia against a background of dyslipidemia”, and according to the results of the topic 2 patents were obtained for an invention on the methods of complex treatment of hemodynamic disorders of the bulbar conjunctiva in persons who have undergone COVID-19 associated pneumonia.
