All the way from Saudi Arabia, Dr. Daniyah Elagi moved to the United States (US) to continue her education. She was one of the first female class in medical school. She defied the prevailing culture of her community, which discouraged women from reaching their potential. She was fascinated by the practice of medicine in the US. She is currently juggling a geriatrics fellowship with a master’s degree in healthcare administration. She is driven by her ambition to use her abilities and knowledge to serve disadvantaged communities and tackle the healthcare system’s shortcomings. In addition to her passion for clinical medicine, she is interested in patient safety, quality improvement, and telemedicine. She is currently pursuing a second fellowship in clinical informatics. She aspire to make a meaningful impact on patients’ lives by delivering efficient, equitable and patient-centered care. She will present a case of teratoma with malignant transformation to primitive neuroectodermal tumor in a young male patient along with the treatment modality.
