Dr. Maria Angela Guimarães Feitosa is a Senior Collaborating Researcher at the Psychology Institute of University of Brasília (UnB), Brazil. She has received her Ph.D. at The University of Michigan, Ann Arbor, U.S.A. Her current research interests are auditory aging and its psychological implications; language development in impoverished conditions such as in cochlear implanted children, dyslexia, and social distancing; sensory and cognitive effects of COVID-19; chronic pain and cognitive decline; implementation of guidelines for psychology curricula. Past experience includes President of the Brazilian Psychological Association, and at UnB Dean of Human Resources and Director of the Psychology Institute.
