I am a Canadian and Israeli trained semi-retired specialist in Family Medicine (University of Western Ontario, London Canada) who has been practicing Medicine most of his adult life in the Galilee in Israel. My primary fields of interest include End of Life and Geriatric care. I have been Medical Director and physician of “Lee Velach” (Me and You) Nursing Home at Kibbutz Yasur in the Western Galilee since 2015. One of my former responsibilities was as Medical Director of Hospice Upper Galilee, a home hospice, from 2001-2012. I am a teacher of Palliative Care at the Bar Ilan Medical School in Safad. In 2014 I was awarded the Caring Professional Award by the NGO Life’s Door. I am married and have two sons.
