Helen Donovan

Dr Helen Donovan is an academic and researcher at the Queensland University of Technology, School of Nursing in Brisbane, Australia.  Helen is a registered nurse and midwife and with a team of academics coordinates a successful peer mentoring program. The program, Nursing COMPASS supports over 1000 nursing students with 40 peer mentors each year. Helen is a Formal Mentor for the Higher Education Academy (London) and includes the principles and practices of mentorship in her undergraduate transition to practice subject. This approach prepares graduating nursing students to be effective mentors and mentees. An expectation of being a registered nurse.
