My name is Kim van Slingerland. I have been a registered Nurse since 2007 and completed the Master Advanced Nursing Practice in 2019. Currently, I work as a Nurse Practitioner at the department of rheumatology of the Erasmus MC, an academic hospital in Rotterdam, The Netherlands. At my outpatient clinic I mostly treat patients with an inflammatory arthritis using a holistic approach. My research focuses on person-centered care with a special interest for self-management. In the (near) future I want to create more awareness for the importance of the nursing role of nurse practitioners.
