Elena A. Platonova

Elena Platonova is originally from Russia. She earned her Master of Health Administration degree from the University of South Carolina and Ph.D. degree in health care management and strategy from the University of Alabama at Birmingham, United States. She is an Associate Professor of Healthcare Management at the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. She is teaching health care management courses at the undergraduate, graduate, and doctoral levels. Her research interest is in primary care management, patient-centered medical come, patient satisfaction and trust, and more recently patient-provider communication.
