As a physician-scientist and medical educator with over 10 years’ experience in managing patients with cardiovascular diseases, Dr. Fredrick Kalokola has dedicated his career to increasing understanding and awareness related to hypertension, heart failure and other cardiovascular disease in Africa.
Working in collaboration with the Weill Cornell Medicine campuses in both New York and Qatar through research, Dr. Kalokola has focused on increasing an understanding of the epidemiology of hypertension as well as the causes and consequences of heart failure in Tanzania so as to improve care for people with heart failure, both in the hospital and in the clinic.
